The Revue Cinema is celebrating the 200th anniversary of Ada’s birth on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 3:30 p.m. with the screening of a documentary about her, To Dream Tomorrow produced by Flare Productions.
These screenings are fundraisers for Back Lane Studios, a local not-for-profit that’s developing a program, called CityShorts, for students to make short documentary films in their neighbourhoods for screening at The Revue. An expert panel will answer any questions: Imogen Coe, professor and dean at Ryerson’s Faculty of Science; Alex Ferworn, professor and associate chair of Ryerson’s Department of Computer Science; and Allan Olley, who earned his PhD at the U of T’s Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology.
